Senior Data Engineer Freelance: 22/01/2026 - 30/06/2026 Must reside in belgium and hold the right to work in belgium Fluent in french, dutch and english. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the financial services sector. You will collect, process, and analyse data to support critical business decisions. This role requires strong technical expertise, business insight, and the ability to communicate findings clearly. Key responsibilities Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources Analyse data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations Summarise complex information into clear, concise messages for management Work independently while staying aligned with team goals Demonstrate determination, adaptability, and a willingness to learn Skills & experience Proficient in SQL, SAS, and advanced Excel (including VBA) Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex data and influence stakeholders Minimum 4 years in Data Analytics, preferably in financial services Familiarity with data governance and GDPR is an advantage Analytical, proactive, and a collaborative team player able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field
